These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Curiopath (“Curiopath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our websites, web application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Curiopath is an AI learning platform that can generate personalized curricula and learning materials—such as textbook-style chapters, quizzes, flashcards, interactive simulations, and AI tutor chat—based on goals and context you provide.

Features, plan limits, and pricing may change over time. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice when practicable.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account.
Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Plans, billing, and cancellations

Curiopath offers a free tier with limited features (for example a limited number of owned lessons and the ability to view shared lessons) and paid plans such as Pro (currently advertised at $5 per month) that unlock additional capabilities such as unlimited lessons and lesson sharing. Current plan details are described on our pricing page and in the app and may change.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
Fees are generally charged in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through available billing controls (including the Stripe customer portal where offered).
Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable except where we expressly state otherwise.
Taxes may apply depending on your location.

If payment fails or your subscription lapses, we may limit access to paid features while preserving free-tier access where applicable.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
Attempt to access other users’ accounts or non-public areas of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by overloading, scraping at abusive rates, or introducing malware
Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as allowed by law
Upload or generate content that infringes others’ rights or that you do not have permission to use
Use the Service to create or distribute spam, or to share lessons in a way that harasses recipients
Misrepresent AI-generated output as human-authored professional advice

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your content

“Your Content” includes information you submit to the Service, such as profile details, learning goals, feedback, chat messages, and any materials you upload or provide.

You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant Curiopath a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the Service (including generating lessons, tutoring responses, and sending share invitations you request).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

6. AI-generated content and disclaimers

Lessons, explanations, quizzes, flashcards, simulations, media suggestions, and tutor responses may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. AI outputs can be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or outdated.

The Service is for educational and informational purposes only.
It is not a substitute for professional advice (including medical, legal, financial, safety, or academic credentialing advice).
You are responsible for how you use and rely on generated materials.
We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, exam results, or career results.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service—including software, branding, design, and underlying technology—is owned by Curiopath or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to use our trademarks or copy the Service except for your personal, non-commercial use of features we provide.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal learning.

8. Lesson sharing

If your plan includes sharing, you may invite others to view lessons you own. Recipients generally receive view-oriented access to shared lesson materials according to product behavior at the time of sharing. You are responsible for choosing recipients and for any message content you include in invites. Do not share lessons containing confidential or sensitive information you are not authorized to disclose.

9. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties such as Firebase Authentication, Google Cloud, Stripe, email delivery providers, and AI model providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting support@curiopath.ai or using available in-app controls. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CURIOPATH AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO CURIOPATH FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Curiopath and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Curiopath regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer laws provide otherwise.
